Welcome to your Haiku outlet. Inspired by a dinner I had with Miss Muscle and Fitness USA in 2005 in a restaurant named HAIKU, I have decided to continue the wave of inspiration. Haiku isa beautiful Japanese rastaurant in Columbus, Ohio where the Arnold Classic is held. Instead of offering customers brain teasers such as trivia or historical facts to past the time while they wait for food, Haiku asks the customers to challenge their literary brain by writing their own Haiku.
From this one-time experience, I have been writing Haiku on a fairly regular basis. However, once I began a doctoral program, my recreational Haiku went by the wayside. Reinspired by sharing my dreams and ideas with friends, I have decided to pick up the practice again. Only this time, I would like you to join me.
Please send me your Haiku. I would love to read them. Accompany them with photos and drawings as well. Most importantly, tell me what you think about the writing.
